Being a former Index guy, I can only agree; they are in the A-list. They were definitely in the top5 European VCs before Skype, now they join the tier 1 group worldwide.
It should not be forgotten that since 1996, Index has been an investor in SCM Microsystems (NASDAQ), Virata (NASDAQ, now Conexant), Numerical Tech (NASDAQ, now Synopsys), Genmab (IPO), Parallele (now Affymetrix), Ciao (now Greenfield) and KVS (now Veritas). The list is much longer.
